History Of La Tomatina-

first of All, started in August 1945 on the last Wednesday of August,

when some young people spent time in the city square so that they could take part in the veterans and Big-Heads’ statistics parade.

Hence Young boys decided to make a place between the resurrections of a parade with musicians, legends and figures of Big-Heads.

The following year, Almost young people used to quarrel with their decision and brought tomato from home.

therefore in the years to come, the police broke the initial tradition, For the reason that young boys had made history without warning about it.

Due to La Tomatina banned in the 50’s, there was no problem for the participants who w arrested.

But people talked and the celebration again allowed with more participants and more frenzy feelings.

The energy of these young people arrested a participant.

Why was La Tomatina banned?-

The participant flew in the fit of anger, started to kill everything on his way.

There was a market stall in the vegetable market that became a victim of a ruthless mob: people began to melt each other with tomatoes until the local forces finished the vegetable war.

The festival canceled until 1957 when the tomato buried as a sign of protest.

It was a demonstration wherein residents took a coffin with huge tomatoes inside.

There was a music band with a parade that played the funeral march and it was completely successful.

Eventually, the La Tomatina Festival allowed and became an official festival.

Since then, the number of participants increased after the year and enthusiasm about the La Tomatina Festival.

In 2002, due to the success of Bengal La Tomatina, the secretary of the tourism department declared the festival of international tourist interest.
